The LYCRA Company always a leading presence at Milano Unica, with a renewed space

A larger Lounge Area to explore the brand’s latest innovations and the fashion-tech collections created with renewable LYCRA® EcoMade fiber

Milan, January 2026 – The LYCRA Company, a global leader in the development of fibers and fabrics for the textile and apparel industry, will participate this month in Milano Unica – the High-End Textile and Accessories Show – as part of its official partnership with MarediModa (Hall 8 MdM 11).

For the January edition, The LYCRA Company will present an expanded exhibition space, strategically located in Pavilion 8 next to the Trend Area, the vibrant heart of premium European textile collections for the sportswear and ready-to-wear segments.

The renewed LYCRA® brand lounge represents a key meeting point for industry professionals, where dynamic multimedia content will showcase the brand’s ALL IN ethos alongside the latest technological innovations in performance textiles and sustainability.

The absolute highlight of the exhibition will be renewable LYCRA® EcoMade fiber, the bio-derived elastane that marks a paradigm shift for the textile industry. Made from 70% industrial corn not intended for direct food consumption, this next-generation fiber can potentially reduce the carbon footprint by up to 44%* compared to traditional fossil-based LYCRA® fiber, while preserving the performance characteristics that make it an industry icon. Available on a global scale, renewable LYCRA® EcoMade fiber represents The LYCRA Company’s concrete answer to the growing demand for lower-impact textile solutions without compromising on quality.

Within the Lounge, a key focus will be the cutting-edge collections developed with renewable LYCRA® EcoMade fiber. High-tech fashion garments created in collaboration with arena and Carvico will be on display, demonstrating the fiber’s exceptional versatility and outstanding performance across swimwear, technical apparel, and sportswear.

Milano Unica, together with MarediModa, represents a strategic showcase for us to strengthen our dialogue with the European business community,” says Alistair Williamson, Vice President EMEA of The LYCRA Company. “Our expanded presence demonstrates our commitment to being even closer to our partners, supporting them with concrete innovations like renewable LYCRA® EcoMade fiber, in their journey toward a more responsible and circular textile supply chain.
