Cannes Fashion Show, the major new feature at MarediModa Cannes 2026

Among the new initiatives introduced this year at MarediModa Cannes, the launch of the Cannes Fashion Show is undoubtedly one of the highlights.

The runway show is being launched as part of the FLASH! project, created five years ago with the aim of producing modern, high-quality content for exhibiting companies. Alongside professional photo and video production, this year will see the introduction of a dedicated runway event, taking place on October 28 at 3:30 p.m., designed to showcase the creativity, innovation and wearability of the prototype garments created as part of the project.

Today, more than ever, textile companies need high-quality content to add value to their collections, showcasing not only the fabrics themselves but, above all, the finished garments that lend themselves best to an engaging, cohesive and effective visual story.

Thanks to the collaboration of a team of professionals with extensive experience in the fashion industry, the fair has developed a successful format that starts with the creation of the garments—also useful during the fair itself—and continues through the production and post-production of dedicated photo and video content.

But there is more. A dedicated area at the fair will further highlight the project through a physical gallery and videos featuring the participating companies. We all know that presenting a fabric as part of an outfit changes the game: it allows textile companies to speak the same visual language as their brand and client audience.

A professional photo shoot, a dedicated video, a presentation area at the fair and, from this year, a runway show in front of buyers all contribute to a new way of positioning and presenting textile collections.

It is also clear that the content produced will continue to be valuable after the fair, supporting companies in their direct customer activities as well as across social media and corporate websites.
