2025 starts strong for textile fairs in Milan and Paris. Lingerie in Florence also sees significant growth

The “textile” year kicked off with the 40th edition of Milano Unica (February 4-6), which welcomed 723 exhibitors (a growing number) and around 12,000 buyers representing 6,476 companies—an increase of 10% compared to the January 2024 edition.

For the first time, foreign companies accounted for 40% of total attendance, reaffirming Milano Unica’s international appeal in the high-end textile and accessories sector. In total, approximately 4,800 international buyers, representing about 2,500 companies, visited the event—a 30.5% increase. Overall, Milano Unica saw attendance from around 6,500 companies (+10%), a figure made even more significant by the continued rise in Italian companies, which surpassed 4,000 (+3.5%).

MarediModa had an excellent reception at Milano Unica, attracting a high number of quality buyers in its dedicated area, introduced in July 2024. Despite only having two editions, it has already become a highly sought-after space within the Milanese fair, thanks in part to its crossover concept that connects different sectors of contemporary fashion. The next edition is scheduled for July 8-10, 2025.

From February 11 to 13, it was the turn of Première Vision Paris. Around 30,000 international professionals from 126 countries, representing over 13,000 companies, attended the event, providing positive feedback to the 1,100 exhibitors from about 40 countries, including Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Japan, the United Kingdom, Belgium, South Korea, Turkey, and China.

Florenc.ìe Rousson, President of the Première Vision Board of Directors and Director of THE CREATIVE POLE, summarized the event as follows:
“This edition, marked by strong attendance, saw the participation of numerous international delegations. We also hosted the annual plenary meeting of the French Fashion and Luxury Industry Strategic Committee at the heart of the fair, where over a hundred professionals discussed the future challenges of our sector. We will continue on this path and look forward to our next edition from September 16 to 18.”

Lingerie and intimate apparel also received a positive response. From February 15 to 17, the 18th edition of Immagine Italia & Co., the most important and prestigious international event dedicated to lingerie and homewear, took place at the Fortezza da Basso in Florence.

The event showcased over 200 collections for Fall/Winter 2025-26, with 43% coming from abroad—offering the most comprehensive overview of the European market, featuring both major global groups and the most cutting-edge niche brands.

“We recorded an increase in visitor numbers,” noted Alessandro Legnaioli. “This is particularly significant considering that this year, there was no concurrent event dedicated to home textiles. We estimate that the number of buyers interested exclusively in lingerie has grown by over 20%, while foreign visitors accounted for 32% of the total. This is highly gratifying both for us as organizers and for our exhibitors. International buyers came from 36 countries, with Spain, CIS countries, Germany, France, and the USA leading the way.”
