Despite an uncertain start featured by a changeable May, summer 2023 expects to set up a record of tourism in Europe. Seaside locations and Italy are holding the bank thanks also to VIP ambassadors from the American cinema which are crowding the most glamorous venues of the peninsula. According to Demoskopika, there will be over 442 million estimated attendances in Italy with a growth of 12.2% compared to 2022, the highest rate never reached before. We could record 127 million arrivals, this is the third highest figure. The top record was in 2019 with 131 million followed by 2018 with 128 – with a 11.2% increase on last year. Driving effect on tourist spending, in absolute value, would be close to 89 billion euros with an estimated growth of 22.8% compared to 2022. The consumption of swimwear is expected to grow double digits, especially the premium sector.
