Interview with Taynah Voss – Mademoiselle Voss lingerie

From Brazil to her studies at BAU, Design College of Arts and Design in Barcelona, passing through THE LINK competition organized by MarediModa, and back to her home country — Taynah Voss’s journey is rich and multifaceted, telling a story of refinement and the pursuit of pure beauty.

  • Would you say that The Link not only brings good luck but also shines a spotlight on emerging talent? Needless to say, we’re incredibly proud of you — but to be honest, we already sensed your natural flair. What kind of experience did you have in Cannes?

Sure. Thank you so much for the opportunity. It was an amazing experience, in Cannes I was able to show my first lingerie collection and my first runway show as well, which was an unforgettable experience for me and the reason why I decided to name my brand -Mademoiselle Voss- a French name to remind me of a remarkable start as a designer.

  • And now are you planning to return as a visitor? Why do you think it’s important to attend MarediModa?

I consider that quality is a main aspect of a product and it’s also linked to the responsibility of creating a better and more sustainable world, since the customer will be able to use a quality product for longer. I would be glad to return in the future because MarediModa is also an important event to meet some of the best suppliers on the European market and they are known for the quality of their products and creative solutions. It’s very important for a brand owner to keep up with what is new and what is best among the available options in order to create the best products for their clients.

  • Tell us a bit about your collection. It’s very sophisticated and has a clearly distinctive identity. What can you share with us? How important is the choice of materials, fabrics, embroidery, and accessories?

This collection is called ”Orquidário” in Portuguese, which translates to ”Orchidarium”. It is inspired by a stroll among orchids, their variety of colors, shapes and the intangible qualities that make them such special flowers. For this collection, all the prints were first hand painted before they were printed on fabric, the fabrics were carefully selected, all the metal components have a special rose gold coating and the guipir was especially designed according to the species of orchids featured on the fabric print. The collection showcases creations that can be adjusted to embrace the body and enhance its natural beauty, some of them can be worn also as outerwear.
