MarediModa and Milano Unica together to consolidate success and aim for new goals
“MarediModa was founded in 2002 by a group of entrepreneurs who, within an association framework, had the courage to conceive and launch an event that went beyond the simple concept of a trade fair. They created the most important gathering for the high-end European swimwear fabric sector on a global scale.
In fact, commercial aspects are only one component of a much broader context that includes trends, economic and social analysis, information, and promotion among all industry professionals — especially within vocational and university-level education.
Today’s global trade fair dynamics show an increasing concentration among a smaller yet significantly sized number of players. The strategic vision of our mandate as the Board of Directors of MarediModa has therefore focused on studying a potential scenario that would allow for a profitable and strategic alliance system. The goal is to preserve the essence of MarediModa while placing it in a more impactful context, in order to consolidate the global reputation achieved and enhance the creativity and success the show has cultivated over many years of work.
With this in mind, we established contacts with various players in the supply chain, culminating in a partnership with Milano Unica. Milano Unica was chosen because it shares the same vision as MarediModa: the protection and promotion of high-quality European textile products, as well as a common origin and strong foundation in the Italian textile and clothing industry’s industrial associations.
We are confident that this union will allow MarediModa to pursue its ideals and objectives with greater strength and enable Milano Unica to further establish itself as an international leader in the high-quality, made-in-Europe textile sector. MarediModa and Milano Unica also confirm that the traditional events in Cannes, Miami, and London, in addition to those organized by MU, are all fully confirmed.”
