MarediModa Milano celebrates its first successful edition

Since 2002 MarediModa, which has been promoting and protecting the European C.O.D. collections of textiles and accessories for beachwear, underwear and athleisure through its main trade shows: Cannes, Miami, London and Munich, showcased a new and innovative project which involved a wide selection of companies in a special area of Milano Unica. For the first time MarediModa brought in textiles & accessories for beachwear to Milan by previewing the S/S collections 2026.

“Good first take! – states Claudio Taiana, chairman of MarediModa – We have already received interest in the next edition from new companies of our group which could appreciate the excellent success of this first trial formula on the occasion of Milano Unica. Although the collections displayed in Milan were not in line with the ones presented in Milan (AW versus SS), the idea of fluidity and contamination which is dominating the world of fashion and sport rewarded the presence of our start-ups. We are very satisfied with it and we are now focusing on our key event in Cannes”.

The MarediModa area, at Pavilion 3, hosted 15 exhibitors. Thanks to the presence of a recap area along with information totems about 2026 trends, visitors could easily identify the features of each company and future fashion directions.

The LYCRA Company, as the official partner of MarediModa, showcased clients and presses, with a dedicated lounge, its LYCRA® bio-derived fiber, set to revolutionize the fashion sector with a sustainable and circular approach. MarediModa thus brings a taste of summer to Italy’s premier trade fair for high-end fabrics and accessories for clothing. This fascinating crossover reflects the needs and trends of contemporary fashion, oriented towards crossover styles, where garments span multiple seasons and offer unprecedented combinations of fabrics. Alongside the classic offerings of cottons and wools, innovative man-made materials borrowed from the beachwear and athleisure segments are also featured.
