MarediModa Milano: Strong presence of international buyers at MU
From July 8 to 10, MarediModa once again took part in Milano Unica. During the 41st edition of the show, a selection of companies from the Cannes network previewed their collections for Summer 2027. The response was excellent, driven by an increase in international buyers attending the Milan-based fair. Now, all eyes turn to the Cannes show, which has moved to earlier dates—October 22, 23, and 24—and promises to be more unmissable than ever.
“With a significant increase in the participation of international companies (+10% compared to the same edition in 2024), the 41st edition of Milano Unica closed with the presentation of Fall/Winter 2026–2027 collections of high-end fabrics and accessories for men, women, and children. This growth affected nearly all major export markets for Italian textiles, although to varying degrees: the Netherlands (+46%), Germany (+33%), the UK (+23%), the USA (+16%), France (+14%), and Japan (+9.5%). Meanwhile, China showed a -3.5% drop compared to July 2024, and South Korea declined by -14%.
International attendance accounted for 45% of the total, contributing to the overall success of the show, which built on already excellent starting numbers: 735 total registrations and 584 exhibitors across the Ideabiella, Moda In, and Shirt Avenue halls (+2.6%). Alongside the confirmed 459 Italian companies, there was a notable +8.7% increase in European exhibitors.”
